Pound Gates receives grant of £2,500 from Ecclesiastical

Pound Gates today received a grant, from Ecclesiastical Insurance Group, of £2,500 for The Acorn Fund. The Fund, set up by Pound Gates in 2013 in conjunction with the Suffolk Community Foundation, supports local causes that align with the theme of Health and Wellbeing. Since its inception, we’ve donated over £25,000 to charitable projects in the Suffolk area.

Mike Otoka, Business Development Manager for Ecclesiastical presented the cheque and certificate to Del Sharman, Director of Pound Gates Insurance Brokers. Ecclesiastical is donating over £95,000 to around 40 charities this year, under its ‘Closer to You’ programme.

Del Sharman commented: “We are so thrilled to receive this grant for the second year running. Ecclesiastical is a fantastic organisation, who are very much aligned with our own values of giving back to the communities where we work and make an impact upon. The funds will be split among good causes which will be selected at our next Grant meeting in October.”
